Summary: we foresaw that the next wave of companies were thinking differently about building products. I led the project to investigate and prototype what "next" looks like for this category and the company.

Situation

  • In the age of AI, Chameleon’s product was starting to feel ‘legacy’. 
  • We could see that the new wave of ‘AI native’ companies would not need our current product. 

Task

  • Understand how AI native customers were doing product onboarding, contextual nudges and surveys and building product.
  • Understand how to use the power of Agents to reinvent the current product.

Action

  • I ran a 2 week research project with Growth PMs.
  • I designed a way to integrate agents work into the existing Chameleon product.
  • I prototyped an entirely new product that took an AI native look at the problem of in-app engagement and dispensed with some of the legacy assumptions.
  • I identified a ‘beachhead’ product we could ship to address a need quickly.

Result

  • Confirmed a clear strategic problem for the company.
  • Designed a product that could be built quickly and tested with the target group.
  • Designed improvements to deliver value in the current product by allowing users to create Agents to run, optimise and act on surveys.
